š Timeless advice for a happier life
Four ways to reframe/audit your life to live more true to yourself
Well WELL WELL hello friends, if it isnāt Meg coming back 1.5 months later after a long hiatusā¦ what honestly felt like a 1.5 month-long vacation LOL. Knowing I had a deadline for Toronto, I sought to make the B-E-S-T of it, and truly did, straight after returning from EDC as well. Foot on the gas, no brakes.
It was so worthwhile. Now that Iām a week settled back in Vancouver, Iām finally re-establishing my routine again ā back to working out, meal prepping, morning meditations, daily walks, and everything else that brings stability to my otherwise chaotic life!
For todayās edition, I wanted to share some high-level life lessons and mindset shifts from my latest podcast episode, āHow to live a happy life.ā Here are some of my fav nuggets:
Comparison: Comparison truly is the thief of joy, and if you arenāt careful, youāll compare yourself to others for the rest of your life. Instead, be in competition with yourself. Become 1% better every day, and remember that everyoneās on their own path ā plus, donāt benchmark yourself on othersā highlight reel. Rarely do people show the struggles. Focus on your own lane.
Friendships: Be intentional about who youāre spending the most time with. Are these people who lift you up? Who inspire you in some way? Who live lives that you admire and look up to? Not every friend HAS to be a source of inspiration, but be mindful of the energy you let in and who you give your time to. Itās normal to outgrow people, or for friendships to organically drift in and out.
Pain: Pain SUCKS. Just just physical but also mental, emotional, financial, spiritual ā and itās an inevitable part of life. The MOST empowering thing is knowing you can grow exponentially FROM the pain. It forces you to re-evaluate your life and decisions, and make a re-pivot to come out transformed. Donāt fear pain.
Happiness: The sure-fire way to be permanently UN-happy is by following what society tells you youāre supposed to do and never question it. Being on autopilot, you might find yourself blindly one day in a job, relationship, or LIFE overall thatās the opposite of true to you. To be happy is to live out your full authentic self. Explore who that is, and align your life accordingly.
Tune into the full episode on Spotify for all the wisdom (and tea) ā weaved with personal stories. This was a conversation I didnāt know I needed, and I promise youād love it too.
My challenge for you today is to look at your life and audit one thing, just ONE THING, that you can do differently to be more aligned with your true self.
You got this winner!
Cheers,
Meg

Podcast Iām listening to:
A snappy read / watch:
Quote Iām pondering:
āThe direction you choose to face determines whether youāre standing at the end or the beginning of a road." āRichelle E. Goodrich
Raw life update:
EDC was a banger.
My last few weeks in Toronto were also an absolute dream. Looking at my Toronto dump gives me endless serotonin AHHH
Feeling SO much gratitude for my friends, old and new, because I feel loved and inspired literally every single day.
Mixed emotions being back in Van. Biggest theme would be saying ānoā and setting boundaries, because my priorities have shifted and I canāt fall back into my old patterns. Iām determined to stay undistracted.
That said, I can always be gladly distracted by my rave fam ā my chosen second family for both feral and wholesome things, whether partying ātil 6AM in Vegas or deep inspiring talks over coffee.
Iām also SO GRATEFUL for all the friendships I deepened in Toronto, because I feel a huge sense of home there now too. They give me reasons to visit often. <3
Just finished establishing my new Vancouver routine and Iām excited ASF to follow it. Then Iām back to Toronto in a month. HAHA. Bi-coastal life chose me, I guess?
