Life is generous with humbling experiences. Here I am — a 26 year-old full-on corporate girl and landlord — who couldn't figure out for the life of me how to fill up the gas in my first car (because btw, I didn't even get my Class 7 until this year).
My brave soul decided to go to the gas station and try it myself without prior knowledge. This resulted in holding up the line, goofily trying to pry open my fuel cap with my fingers and not realizing it was a button lock. I then proceeded to scratch my head, wondering what to press on the machine and why the fuel wasn't coming out. Then I picked up the nozzle and gas started leaking.
This kind lady emerged from the car behind me, concerned how long I was taking and the one-woman ruckus, and asked me: "are you okay?"
"No, I'm not okay," I replied with the literal 🥺 emoji. (This was the biggest 🎀 I'm just a girl 🎶 moment ever.) She kindly taught me how to fill up my gas and I was on my way. God bless her.
Add that to my resume. Knows how to fill up gas.
This was just a silly little moment, yet symbolic for how life really is. I knew *nothing* about business before I went to business school. Knew *nothing* about Europe (I didn't even Austria was a country?) before I went on exchange to Vienna. Knew *nothing* about tech before I started working in it. Knew *nothing* about real estate before I decided to buy a property. And now, knew *nothing* about filling up gas before I got a car.
But that's the thing — anything is learnable, and everything is figureoutable. Best case scenario, you learn in advance (maybe life crash course style like what I did with real estate), but worst case scenario, you figure it out along the way (like I did with my gas filling endeavour).
And the best part? There are countless people you can lean on in the process of figuring out something new — be it a friend, a colleague, a mentor, an expert, or a kind stranger.
Everything is figureoutable. And because I know that, I'm never afraid to jump into the unknown. It's where the most rewarding lessons and achievements lie — and you have to get uncomfortable to get there.
What's something you might be afraid to try? Maybe a goal that's daunting, or a dream that seems far too unattainable? Is it really that scary, or are you just blocking yourself before you even give it a shot?
Rewrite the script and get your feet wet. Get comfortable with not knowing all the answers. I used to have *nightmares* about myself driving, yet here I am at age 26, finally on the road and loving it. (P.S. Don't worry friends, I know how to drive safely. No need to hide from the roads!)
Cheers!

Raw life update:
I’m in my Do Not Disturb era, and truthfully, won’t be sharing the things I’ve been working on because it’s actually really nice to build in private. (Don’t worry, I didn’t join an MLM.) I’m just going to put my head down, put in the work, and let results speak.
10:30 PM bedtimes and 6:30 AM mornings are now my new favourite thing.
That, and focus. Pilates classes (3 weeks left of expensive Lagree AHH). Nourishing foods. Quality time with my family. Redesigning my digital and physical spaces. Making time to study scripture. Among many other things that bring me so much peace right now.
Colder weather = a completely different season, and tbh, I dig it. Love whatever season you’re in <3
